Week 7 power rankings

There were two very eventful games over the weekend in the CAFFL, but they were for two different reasons. The Mustangs won in arguably the best game of the 2021 CAFFL season 40-33 over the Elite while the Bandits beat the Vipers. Here are the Week 5 CAFFL Power Rankings.

1. Arkansas Mustangs

The Mustangs looked human and showed that they could bleed against the Elite. The Elite proved that with a smart and focused offensive attack you can have success against the Mustangs. Captain D.J. Hayes showed concern the week before about the defensive effort of the team and we will have to see if this could be there downfall in the final stretch of the season.

2. Spa City Bandits

The Bandits have had their woes as the newest member of the CAFFL, but they seem to have found their footing. After an unfortunate injury that forced the team to play Brett Meeks at quarterback they really started to take control of their game against the Vipers until unfortunate circumstances happened. The Bandits have to get ready for their big game on Sunday against the Mustangs.

3. Hot Springs Elite

We'll be honest none of us on the CAFFL writing staff predicted their game against the Mustangs to be close, but due to their fight and great gameplan they were able to keep the game close against the Mustangs and even had a chances to take the momentum in the game. Elite have clearly proven to be a worthy challenger to the Mustangs.

4. Hot Springs Vipers

No surprise here with number 4, the Vipers have been on a steady decline over the past few weeks. When you couple that with what happened against the Bandits they have a lot of ground to make up if they want to move up in the weekly CAFFL Power Rankings. They face the surging Elite on Sunday.
