Week 5 power rankings
1. Arkansas Mustangs 4-0
I mean come on what do we need to say their lowest scoring game of the season was 44 points against the Vipers in Week 1, Captain D.J. Hayes has built a juggernaut that I don't see being stopped. Jackson Davis through 4 games has thrown a ridiculous 23 touchdowns, 9 of those have gone to Hayden Gray. When you factor in big time playmakers like Deonte "Primetime" Jamison, Quinton Edmond, and Austyn Harvey among many others you get the most complete team in the CAFFL.
2. Hot Springs Elite 1-2-1
This was a very difficult choice but the number 2 team post Week 4 is the Elite, in the Preseason they looked more like the Hot Springs Bums than the Hot Springs Elite but we have been surprised with how competitive this team is. They scored their season high as a team on Sunday with 46 points in a win over the Bandits, and they will need every bit of that offense this Sunday against the number 1 team on our list the Mustangs. The Elite actually have the most respectable loss against the Mustangs of any team losing by just 14 points in Week 2.
3. Hot Springs Vipers 1-3
The Hot Springs Vipers looked they were on their way to the number 2 ranking on this list with the additions of Adrian Morris and Terrence Floyd but unfortunately both were no shows against the Mustangs over the weekend. They were both sorely missed as the Vipers suffered a 54-30 loss, the Vipers were coming out of week 3 with a great win against the Elite as well so it remains to be seen if the Vipers can contend for that number 2 spot.
4. Spa City Bandits 1-2-1
While the Bandits have shown some promise since entering the league they have had major issues defensively giving up a combined 104 points in their last two games against the Elite and Mustangs. Their offense has also yet to reach the 40 point mark in any game this season despite having respectable CAFFL players like Justin Burleson, Nate Gay, and Tyler Bates. We will just have to see if the Bandits can get themselves back on track this season.
