Week 4 Predictions

by Bobby Lee Shae,Curtis Ashgad

This Sunday the CAFFL will bring us two exciting match ups, The Mustangs will face off against the Vipers while the Elite take on the Bandits. Our three CAFFL writers will give their predictions and tell you how they think the games will be played out.

Viper vs Mustangs

Brock Landers

The Mustangs have proven that they are the team to beat and I don't think that changes on Sunday, Jackson Davis has been in complete control and I don't believe that the Vipers defense can shake him. I see Jamison, Gray, and Hayes all having good games offensively and the Mustangs getting up early and not looking back.

The Vipers got some real help with them adding new quarterback Adrian Morris and wide receiver Terrance Floyd but can these two playmakers keep up with the Mustangs offensive firepower the answer is simply HELL NO! The Mustangs are too strong on the defensive end for this game to be a shootout. I also have heard that Arin Natzke will be back and ready to go so that only adds to this already stacked Mustang squad.

The Mustangs are proving to everyone why they are considered the best team in the CAFFL, the Vipers have added guys that can compete and they did beat the Mustangs in the preseason, but this is not the preseason. Look for the Mustangs to put the Vipers out of their misery early like they did the Bandits in week 3, the Mustangs have scored at least 16 points in the first quarter of every game this season and I don't think that changes here. I see team captain DJ Hayes playing a big role in this game and the Mustangs marching to a 4-0 record.

Bandits vs Elite

Brock Landers

Two teams who are desperate not to lose two in a row, I see the Bandits having their way offensively with the Elite and scoring consistently throughout 4 quarters of play. Justin Burleson and Nate Gay are really an underrated duo in the CAFFL and I see that translating to a good performance.

Bandits 36 Elite 24

Bobby Lee Shae

The Elite have not quite lived up to their name as of yet and are still searching for their first win, I think they get it the Bandits are coming off a demoralizing defeat at the hands of the Mustangs and I don't think they recover this Sunday.

Elite 44 Bandits 26

The Bandits made a good first impression beating the Vipers in an unbelievable game however they were quickly welcomed back to Earth with a 58-24 loss to the Mustangs now they get a chance to get back in the win column against the Elite. My question is who will cover Brack Teague who is the Elite's best playmaker at wide receiver the Bandits have struggled with finding their number one corner and I think this is what hurts them on Sunday.
