Mustangs give Bandits a not so warm welcome to the CAFFL
Week 3 of the CAFFL featured two blowouts, the league's top squad the Mustangs faced off against the Bandits. The Bandits were riding high after winning their debut game against the Vipers and hoped that their momentum would continue against the Mustangs they were quickly reminded why the Mustangs are at the top, through two quarters they found themselves down 38-8, they would go on to lose 58-24. Jackson Davis tied the passing touchdown record that he set last week tossing seven scores. Team Captain DJ Hayes caught his second touchdown pass of the season, and Davis found his go to target Hayden Gray who had a record breaking performance last week with 5 touchdown catches, caught another three against the Bandits. Deonte Jamison made a highlight play on defense as he took an interception to the house in the second quarter, he also caught 2 touchdowns. Jamison will surely be considered for the MVP award along with a couple of his teammates. The Mustangs also made Bandit wide receiver Nate Gay a priority holding him to zero catches, Quinton Edmond had the job of covering Gay and showed why he is one of the best one on one defenders in the league.
