A Great Game Between the Bandits and Vipers Ends in Controversy

What happened on Sunday during the Bandits vs Vipers game will go down as the low point in the history of the CAFFL. It rivals anything that has happened in other major sports leagues. Whether it be the Malice at the Palace for the NBA, the Spygate Scandal in the NFL, or the Steriod Trials of the MLB.

Usually my colleague Brock Landers writes all the summaries but I could not sit back and not give my thoughts and feelings on everything that transpired on Sunday.

Late in the game the Vipers Kyle Johler and Melvin Walker had enough of the officiating from Lead CAFFL Head Official Scott Kemp and lost their cool. It eventually got to the point where a couple Viper players decided not to finish the game and quit.

"I was very disappointed with the outcome says Kemp. There was a lot of emotions on the field, and the Vipers let it get the best of them. Vipers Captain Dalton Norwood spoke to me privately to apologize about the events that took place. I wish for future games that this isn't a problem because one, it slows the game down and two, it distracts the officials, making it harder for them to do their jobs".

The question now becomes, what is next for the Vipers. They have a lot of great talent and even some future CAFFL stars but they are being poisoned by the worst ran organization in the league. If I'm the Norwood brothers or Terrence Floyd or any of the other major players on this team I would be looking for a first class ticket away from the Vipers.

CAFFL Commissioner D.J. Hayes also has a difficult decision to make in the off season. The CAFFL is always looking to expand but would Hayes consider disbanding the Vipers all together, I certainly would. The Vipers should also take into consideration changing who the leaders are on this team.

Hayes addressed the controversy stating "It's a shame such a fantastic game went to waste myself and various league officials will be looking into the matter. There are bad calls and good calls from our officials but our players need to keep their emotions in check".

In terms of the game Brett Meeks shined as the newest member of the Bandits taking over at Quarterback and setting the tone for the team. On the other side Adrian Morris who was terrific in the first game with the Vipers at QB had an abysmal day throwing multiple interceptions.

The Vipers look to regain respect this Sunday against the Elite, while Bandits get the unfortunate task of taking on the undefeated Mustangs.
